Thank Goodness

Thank Goodness, the hardest part is just about over. My office is 95% finished. That was a job! I doubt there will be room in the apartment for all of my stuff, but we will try.

We have decided to go to California next weekend to look for furniture.

Everything is moving now much quicker than before. I’ve been thinking, it’s going to take us a little longer to get ourselves settled into the apartment than I thought. We will need things for the apartment, and it’s hard to do from here. That means Adopt A Caregiver will have to be on hold for awhile, until we are truly settled into our new place.

In the meantime, please do your part to support the caregivers in your community. Give the gift that lasts forever and costs nothing. Adopt A Caregiver and tell them your friend Helene sent you.

Too Tired To Write

I’ve got a story I want to write down for my Memoirs, and I can’t seem to sit still long enough to do anything about it, because I’m too tired.

The good news is that my office is now about 75 % packed up. I didn’t think I’d get this much done this quickly, and now by the weekend it should be all finished. Except for the things I’ll need between now and May 10th.

My closet is done, except for my summer clothes, the winter ones are already packed up. The shelves are done, so that too should be done by the weekend.

Maybe by the time I go to Anthem Authors on Tuesday I’ll have my story ready.

We have all the change of address things to do, and the services to turn on and a new phone number, but my husband will take care of that for us. Thank you Honey.

I hope I will have more interesting things to talk about soon.

Missed AA Today

I missed going to Anthem Authors today, I thought I’d be able to manage it, but it didn’t happen. Oh well, there is next week. I haven’t written anything to read anyway, so it can wait a week. I am going to miss everyone at Anthem Authors, and will continue to be in touch and look at their website often.

Now, I am finally free to pack up everything in the house, except what we will need for the next 35-40 days. I’m hoping we will be finished packing by the 17th of April. It is exhausting work, but I think we can manage it.

There are so many things left to do, change of address, packing, thinking about what to take, what to leave here, and decisions galore.  One at a time, one day at a time.

I’m grateful that we are able to manage it ourselves so far.
