We were having breakfast with our granddaughter this morning and talking about memories. What she remembered about being with us when she was a little girl. How she feels now that she is pregnant. I reinded her how lucky she was that this brand new baby girl will have 6 great grandparents. That is quite something!
My husband reminded me, as he often does, that no one can take away our memories. He is so right. Memories can be made of magic. They also can be seeped in sadness.
But, the sadness is also part of life and our memories. Life happens, it’s how we cope that counts. Coping isn’t easy, not ever, but we have to be aware and that is part of the key.
Enjoy your memories, talk about them with your friends, kids, grandchildren, you might get a kick out of them.
Keep love and kisses in your life. Helene
