The Lessons Of Life

Stress! Caregiver stress.

Taking care of yourself, meditate, even for five minutes. Listen to the music you love, journal, draw, play with colored crayons, Silly Putty, bang the drum or the pillow, putter in the dirt, buy yourself a flower pot, or a plant, make a collage of pictures as you would like your life to be. save quotes and read one every day, do anything you can for 5-15 minutes a day to restore yourself. If you can’t, then at night before you go to bed, think about a way to make tomorrow the day you can find a few minutes to get away. (even if it’s just in your own mind) Think about happy thought and places you’ve loved, people who have come into your life and made a difference.

See how easy it could be? Yeah, in your dreams. I wish for all caregivers the gift of the above. I hope someone comes into your life to give you some respite.

Someone in your own community to become your friend, to email you, to encourage you, to help take away your stress. That is my wish and yes, even my goal.

Adopt A Caregiver. Give the gift that lasts forever and costs nothing. See and do something for someone who needs you to be that friend. You can tell them that your friend Helene sent you.

Keep love and kisses in your life. Helene

Time To Be Grateful

These are scary days, full of uncertainty, yet we are going to be all right. We areĀ  thankful for our families, our friends, and that our country is free.

This is a time for hope. There always has to be hope.

One by one we will do all the things we have to do to put our country back on track.

And while we are doing this, remember the caregivers, every day for them is scary and full of uncertainty. Every day is hard, exhausting and full of stress.

Lets help them out, each one of us can Adopt A Caregiver, and give them some friendship, some hope.

There will be more and more caregivers as time goes on. I can’t help but think about all the kids who are caregivers, the ones who have to come home from school and help out. The ones who can’t go out with their friends or go to after school activities. They have no one to talk to; they know that no one else can understand what they are going through. Please think about them and if you have children, talk to them, explain to them that kids can be caregivers too, and they are going through hell.

Please leave your comments and I will answer them.

Keep love and kisses in your life. Helene

Happy and Healthy New Year

A very Happy and Healthy New Year to all my friends who are Jewish. Tonight begins our New Year.

I wish for a better year, a healthier year, a year for new doors opening on Adopt A Caregiver.

Tomorrow we are seeing our lawyer and setting up a Non Profit, and hopefully the U.S. Patent office will contact me soon on my trade mark for Adopt A Caregiver.

Tomorrow afternoon, I am getting my blog and website updated. Don’t know if you will be able to notice the difference but I am sure I will. Can’t wait.

A terrible Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue week for me. Haven’t had it this bad in years. Maybe a lot of stress and the humidity is catching up with me.

Oh well, what do I say, tomorrow is a new day. And the sun will shine here in Las Vegas. I love the sunlight, but am getting tired of the 90 plus degrees. Can’t wait for some cooler weather.

Everyone was gracious yesterday during my talk, everyone listened and I think one by one they will say something about Adopt A Caregiver. I hope.

Thursday I am giving another talk. Will tell you about that on Friday.

I’ve got a lot of catching up to do.

This was a mish mosh of bits and pieces of my life.

Keep love and kisses in your life. Helene

Thank you Lisa for your kind words.
